ティン・パン・アレーへの参加や細野晴臣、山下達郎、吉田美奈子らとの交流を通じ、ジャパニーズ・ポップスの発展に貢献してきた佐藤博が、ロサンゼルスでの活動を経て1982年に発表した4枚目のアルバム。Linn製ドラムマシンとの出会いから、生演奏の温かみと電子楽器の精緻な質感が組み合わさり、80年代にふさわしい都会的で新しいポップス像を模索した一枚。カナダ出身の女性ヴォーカリスト、ウェンディ・マシューズをフィーチャーし、佐藤自身の歌声とともに海外に照準を当てたサウンドを展開。後年、海外のシティポップ再評価においても高く評価された。西海岸の日差しと爽やかな風が運ぶシーサイド・ソウル。

Having contributed to the evolution of Japanese pop music through his involvement with Tin Pan Alley and collaborations with artists such as Haruomi Hosono, Tatsuro Yamashita, and Minako Yoshida, Hiroshi Sato released his fourth album in 1982, following his time in Los Angeles.His encounter with Linn drum machines brought together the warmth of live instrumentation and the precision of electronic sounds, as he explored a sophisticated new vision of pop music suited to the 1980s.
