NOTES ON SOUND.

English Ver:
Strange Lounge Pop, Evolving into Something More Complex and Organic

Building on the musical direction of its predecessor, Dots and Loops, which boldly embraced computer-based editing, this album restores a sense of freedom and human spontaneity to the band's performances. John McEntire of Tortoise returns, joined by Jim O'Rourke as a new co-producer, creating even more intricate rhythms and loops. Absorbing elements of jazz, lounge, Brazilian music, and beyond, the result is a strange form of lounge pop, filled with uncanny atmospheres and melodies. Although the album received mixed reactions upon its release, its almost excessive spirit of experimentation and elusive complexity are precisely what make it so endlessly fascinating, even after countless listens.
